SC Cleared Software Architect - 5 months Contract - £600/day via umbrella company - onsite Oxford - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

Responsible for assessing, redesigning, and stabilising a large-scale NVIDIA Omniverse/GPU compute environment. The role involves diagnosing complex cluster-level issues, re-architecting the platform to meet best-practice standards and leading a full end-to-end rebuild to achieve a stable, scalable, and high-performing deployment.

Your responsibilities as a SC Cleared Software Architect:

  • Lead a full evaluation of an existing multi-node NVIDIA Omniverse platform (approx. 20 Servers), identifying architectural, networking, or orchestration faults affecting node communication.
  • Investigate and resolve cluster-wide connectivity failures, ensuring all nodes communicate reliably within the environment.
  • Redesign the platform to deliver full node orchestration, high availability, scalability, and alignment with NVIDIA best practices for GPU compute clusters.
  • Lead the complete rebuild and redeployment of the environment, ensuring a stable and production-ready platform.
  • Validate cluster performance, workload execution, and long-term operational stability.
  • Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure knowledge transfer and alignment with operational requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation, including revised architecture diagrams, deployment models, and operational runbooks.

As a suitable SC Cleared Software Architect, you will have:

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting NVIDIA Omniverse environments and broader NVIDIA GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with GPU compute clusters, high-performance computing, and AI-focused infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-node cluster design, orchestration, and distributed system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of InfiniBand or high-throughput Ethernet networking within compute clusters.
  • Strong Linux server administration skills across multi-node environments.
  • Experience resolving node communication failures, orchestration issues, and misconfigurations in distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead rebuilds and re-architectures in production or mission-critical environments.
  • Active SC Clearance
