HGV Technician / Mechanic – Job Overview
A permanent, full‑time HGV Automotive Technician / Mechanic is required for a busy, modern workshop. This role is ideal for someone seeking stability, progression and a strong work–life balance with weekday‑only hours.
The HGV Technician / Mechanic will carry out diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on a varied fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance and high‑quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing to strict safety standards.
Work across multiple manufacturers and vehicle types.
Complete all work efficiently, accurately and in line with workshop processes.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
Candidate Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
Experience working with HGVs or LCVs.
Full UK, Irish or EU driving licence; Class 2 licence beneficial.
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Standard employment vetting required.
