A leading multi-million-pound civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Agent to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the Midlands.
Working as part of an established delivery team, you will play a key role in managing projects within the water, flood defence, environmental, and infrastructure sectors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and subcontractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, and quality requirements
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Coordinating site teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, programmes, and site documentation
- Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
- Monitoring project performance and reporting on progress
- Supporting commercial and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Project Experience Required:
Candidates should have demonstrable experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally including:
- Water treatment and clean water infrastructure works
- Wastewater and sewerage projects
- Environment Agency frameworks and flood defence schemes
- River restoration and environmental improvement works
- Earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete structures, and associated civils packages
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Site Agent within the civil engineering sector
- Strong background in water and/or Environment Agency projects
- Excellent leadership and site management skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
- Temporary Works experience desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
