Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose:

To support my child within the home and accessing social opportunities within the community.
My child is 16 and enjoys being outdoors, Lego, trains and anything mechanical.

Work Duties will include:

• Driving them to locations for activities and days out
• Motivating and encouraging them to take part and try new things
• Helping them to develop social skills
• Supporting with parent at medical appointments
Other requirements

• Establishing and maintaining effective communication with the child and their parents, maintaining confidentiality.
• Always ensuring the safety of the child
Requirements for applicant

• Imagination in relation to activities to undertake
• To be attentive and focused while working
• Good sense of humour
• Flexible, reliable and honest
• Physically fit, agile and energetic
• Understanding of autism essential
• Be able to use initiative
• Full driving license with business insurance within your policy
• DBS Check will be completed

This role is based in Canterbury but days out will mean travelling to other locations around Kent.
£12.71/hour
Term Time – 8hours
Non-Term Time - 10 hours
