Freelance Site Engineer – Commercial Construction Projects
South Yorkshire | £330 Per Day | Freelance Contract | Up to 2 Years' Work Available
We Are Footprint are recruiting on behalf of one of our key clients, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial construction projects across South Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer based in or around Sheffield who is looking for long-term freelance work, with the potential for up to two years of continuous work for the right candidate.
The Role
Working as part of a well-established site team, you will be responsible for the engineering and setting out requirements across multiple commercial build projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out and surveying works on site
* Producing and maintaining accurate site records
* Quality assurance and quality control checks
* Interpreting and working from technical drawings
* Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams
* Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
* Supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on commercial construction projects
* Strong setting out and surveying experience
* Proficient with relevant surveying equipment and software
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* CSCS Card (essential)
* SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
* Full UK driving licence preferred
