Assistant Building Surveyor Salary & Benefits

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Assistant Building Surveyor Job Overview

The successful candidate will assist in delivering a range of building surveying services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Working alongside experienced surveyors and multi-disciplinary teams, you will gain exposure to both professional and project-based work while developing your technical skills.

Duties will include:

Assisting with building condition surveys and preparing detailed reports
Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, schedules of work, and drawings
Assisting with tender submissions, contractor assessments, and the preparation of JCT contracts
Attending pre-contract meetings and supporting project handovers
Carrying out site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance
Attending client and project meetings
Coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
Travelling to project sites and client locations as required

Assistant Building Surveyor Job Requirements

Degree in Building Surveying or relevant industry experience
Working towards chartership
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
