Location: Office Based
Salary: £27000
Hours: Full Time

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

* Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm

Reporting To: Sales Director

Momentum Training is a leading recruitment and training provider delivering government-funded training, employability programmes, Skills Bootcamps, and vocational qualifications across multiple sectors including Construction, Engineering, Warehousing, Logistics, and Plant Operations.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Learner Support Officer to join our team and help support learners into employment, apprenticeships, and further training opportunities.

Role Purpose

The Learner Support Officer plays a vital role in supporting learners throughout their journey with Momentum Training. The role is heavily focused on learner engagement, telephone contact, progression support, and administration.

You will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with learners, promoting vacancies sourced by our Business Development Team, collecting progression evidence, and ensuring learner records are accurately maintained within our PICS management system.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys speaking to people, building relationships, and making a genuine difference by helping individuals progress into employment.

Key Responsibilities

Learner Support & Engagement

Conduct daily learner support and welfare calls.

Maintain regular contact with learners before, during, and after training.

Provide advice and guidance relating to employment and progression opportunities.

Support learners with job searches, applications, and interview preparation.

Encourage learner engagement and progression into positive destinations.

Signpost learners to additional support services where appropriate.

Progression & Employment Outcomes

Promote live vacancies supplied by the Business Development Team.

Match learners to suitable employment opportunities.

Support learners through the recruitment process.

Contact employers and learners to confirm employment outcomes.

Collect progression evidence in line with contract requirements.

Maintain progression trackers and outcome records.

Administration & Data Management

Update learner records accurately on the PICS Management Information System.

Record all learner interactions, outcomes, and actions.

Support learner enrolment administration where required.

Maintain accurate electronic filing and records.

Assist with compliance checks and audit preparation.

Ensure all data is handled in accordance with GDPR requirements.

Team Support

Work closely with the Sales Director, Business Development Team, and Delivery Teams.

Support the achievement of progression and performance targets.

Attend team meetings and contribute to business objectives.

Assist with employer engagement activities and recruitment events when required.

Essential Skills & Qualities

* Excellent telephone and communication skills.

* Confident speaking with learners, employers, and stakeholders.

* Good organisational and administrative skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.

* Positive, professional, and approachable manner.

* Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

* Experience in customer service, recruitment, sales, employability, training, or education.

* Experience using CRM or learner management systems.

* Understanding of employment and training programmes.

* Experience working towards targets or KPIs.

The successful candidate will:

* Maintain excellent learner engagement levels.

* Support learners into employment and further training.

* Collect progression evidence promptly and accurately.

* Keep learner records up to date and compliant.
