Job Title: Secondary English Teacher
Location: South East London
Pay Range: M1 - M6 paid to scale (PAYE or Umbrella)

ANZUK Education is working with a range of supportive and diverse secondary schools in South East London seeking flexible and adaptable Secondary English Teachers to support their teams from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach English across key stages, support learning in different school environments, and maintain strong behaviour practice.
This Secondary PE Teacher role in South East London would suit experienced English Teachers, ECTs confident with behaviour management, or English specialists seeking flexibility.
Key Responsibilities of a Secondary English Teacher:

Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning.
*
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and subjects.
*
Support pupils’ engagement, progress and positive conduct.
*
Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and reporting procedures.
*
Build positive relationships with students and staff across school settings.
*
Will include full teaching responsibilities of planning and marking
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*
Hold QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (essential).
*
Be a confident ECT or an experienced teacher within the secondary phase.
*
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the English Curriculum for KS3–KS4.
*
Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
*
Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and school leaders.
