Our client, a leading provider in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a M&E Data Centre Engineer to join their team in Fareham. This permanent role requires you to predominantly be on-site at the Fareham data centre, with occasional travel to the company's other data centres in the Southern region. You will work 12-hour shifts, operating on a 4 on, 4 off schedule, covering both days (6am - 6pm) and nights (6pm - 6am).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-fix support on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and minor fabric repairs
Oversee and coordinate contractors, ensuring all Health & Safety requirements are met
Deliver small project works independently and as part of a team
Offer technical guidance and supervision on larger tasks
Contribute to reports and audits for the management team
Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and ensure timely updates across all systems
Monitor systems, environment, and M&E infrastructure
Perform preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure facility upkeep and reliability
Manage stock, assets, and critical spares within the data centre
Escort and assist third-party vendors and engineers on-site
Capture and maintain accurate asset data
Support cross-connects, console access, and power verification activities
Assist with rack installation, cabling, and hardware deployment
Provide on-site remote hands/smart hands support for remote IT teams during incidents and requests
Responsible for undertaking the duties of an LV Authorised person
Handle confidential information and/or sensitive data in a professional manner

Job Requirements:

Experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in a critical, industrial, or commercial environment
Completed electrical apprenticeship or similar - ideally with 18th edition wiring regulations
Basic IT skills, including Word and Excel
Experience in L.V. switching, HVAC Systems, UPS Circuitry, Generators, BMS Systems, Fire Preventative Systems
Currently hold or be able to obtain (eligible for) SC Clearance
