Software Engineer C

We're working with a leading engineering and technology organisation within the defence sector, currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a highly skilled team developing advanced test software for complex systems.

The Role

You'll be responsible for designing and developing software used within advanced test equipment systems, supporting products from early concept through to production.

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll help deliver high-quality software solutions while contributing to continuous improvement, automation and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software for advanced test and measurement systems
Develop robust applications primarily using C/C++
Work collaboratively across software, systems and electronics teams
Support Agile development and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices
Work within a lab and engineering environment using electronic test equipment
Explore and implement new technologies where appropriate

Skills & Experience Required

Commercial experience in software engineering
Strong programming skills in C and/or C++
Experience developing test, automation or embedded software
