Job Role:

The IT Services Manager will take full operational ownership of the school ICT network and cloud infrastructure, ensuring a secure, reliable, and high performing digital environment that enables exceptional teaching and learning.

Acting as the Strategic Digital Lead, the successful candidate will partner with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to shape, develop, and execute a forward thinking long term digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Line manage the IT team, guide professional development, and advise the SLT on emerging technologies and long term ICT roadmaps.

Maintain network reliability, server infrastructure, and the Microsoft 365 tenant. Drive the adoption of cloud tools to boost operational efficiency.

Protect the estate against cyber threats, manage backups and disaster recovery, and work with safeguarding leads on robust online safety filtering.

Manage the full lifecycle of new IT initiatives. Oversee auxiliary systems including CCTV, printing, telephony, and access control.

Manage the daily ICT budget alongside Finance, lead procurement for hardware and software, and negotiate with external suppliers for best value.

Maintain accurate records of assets, network diagrams, software licences, and equipment audits

Candidate Profile

Proven track record in IT support within an educational or similar environment, plus experience managing a small technical team.

Deep knowledge of network infrastructure (routing, switching), server operating systems, and Microsoft 365 administration.

Highly organised, self motivated, and able to project manage complex tasks to tight deadlines.

Exceptional ability to collaborate with staff, students, Trustees, and external contractors
