An outstanding East London based primary school are looking for a Graduate who is an aspiring primary school teacher to work as a teaching assistant from September 2026. This is the ideal role for a Graduate who wants to become a teacher and is looking to gain vital hands-on school experience.
As a teaching assistant you will be allocated a class between year 1 and year 6 and will be working alongside an experienced class teacher covering all areas of the curriculum. No two days will be the same and you will get the opportunity to gain invaluable hands on, paid primary school experience in an Ofsted Outstanding setting.
This teaching assistant role is a full-time position commencing in September. A number of graduates have previously spent the year working at the school for the academic year before embarking on teacher training.
The school is looking for an individual who has a Degree and a passion to one day become a primary school teacher. Some form of paid or voluntary experience is required. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as tutoring, voluntary school work, youth work, sports coaching, overseas teaching….
