An modern and growing construction consultancy in Chelmsford is seeking a confident and career-driven Project Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects, develop client relationships, and progress within a supportive and ambitious consultancy environment.
The Project Quantity Surveyor's Role
The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will become part of a close-knit Quantity Surveying and Project Management team delivering high-quality cost consultancy services across a diverse range of sectors. Projects include residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments throughout Essex, London, and the South East.
Day to day, the Project Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for managing projects from inception through to completion, providing cost planning, procurement advice, contract administration support, valuations, and final account negotiations. The role offers regular client interaction and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on both new and existing commissions.
This position provides clear career progression, varied project exposure, and the chance to further develop professional expertise within a growing consultancy.
The Project Quantity Surveyor - Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' cost consultancy or Quantity Surveying experience
MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
Strong pre-contract and post-contract experience
Excellent cost planning and procurement knowledge
Experience managing projects independently
Professional, confident, and client-facing
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK driving licence preferred
