Certain Advantage is partnering with an engineering business to recruit an experienced Assembly Operative. You will support the manufacturing teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble customer orders and operate machinery (saws, guillotines, drills, welders, PEM machines, etc.).
Check materials and tooling against work orders for suitability and accuracy.
Work within machine limits and follow safe handling and lifting procedures.
Inspect work for quality before submission; complete any required corrections.
Keep tools and machinery clean, maintained, and report defects promptly.
Your Background:
Experience of working in an engineering workshop
Competent in basic processing of parts using general sheet metal and fabrication machinery, including hand-operated tools.
Ability to read and work directly from drawings
