Project Support Officer - Leeds (Hybrid Working & Travel) - Temporary

* Location: Leeds (Hybrid working available, travel required)
* Pay: £15.46 per hour
* Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday to Friday
* Sector: Public Sector

Our Client, the Environment Agency, is seeking a dedicated Project Support Officer to join their team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that protect communities, reduce flood risk, and support sustainable development.

What you'll be doing:
* Handling and processing data efficiently
* Creating Geographic Information System (GIS) layers and managing spatial data
* Setting up new project workspaces
* Organising meetings and taking accurate minutes
* Preparing notices of entry and public newsletters
* Ordering site signage and running reports
* Accompanying Project Managers on site visits
* Responding to incidents and supporting business continuity during emergencies

What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational and proactive approach
* Excellent administrative, data handling, and communication skills
* Experience in managing multiple priorities and supporting project delivery
* Confident in using GIS tools for spatial data management
* Skilled in preparing reports, correspondence, and meeting notes
* A cooperative relationship builder with keen attention to detail
* Comfortable working independently and undertaking site visits
* Willing to travel within Yorkshire and work in a hybrid setting (2 days in Leeds office weekly)
