Location: Birmingham | Hybrid Working | Permanent | Salary: DOE

About the Role

As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will be a key member of a dynamic, collaborative team. You'll be involved in a diverse range of projects, offering strategic and practical advice to clients, and helping to deliver complex planning solutions that drive real change.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on and negotiate Section 106 agreements and other planning obligations.
Provide guidance to committees, local authorities, and private sector clients on planning matters.
Support CPOs, regeneration, and infrastructure projects from inception to delivery.
Work alongside cross-functional teams on major developments and complex planning schemes.
Assist with business development and client engagement activities.

Skills and Experience

3+ years PQE in planning law, with strong experience in Section 106 agreements and CPOs.
Proven ability to provide advice on committee reports, appeals, and other planning processes.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team growth.
Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
Commercially minded and able to provide clear, practical advice under pressure.
