Quality Inspector (6-Month Contract)
Location: Near Fareham
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum (pro rata)
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering company on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-quality manufacturing environment, supporting the inspection of precision-machined components.
The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that machined components meet strict quality standards. You will work closely with engineering teams to maintain accuracy and consistency across all parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect machined components produced on CNC machines
Use a range of inspection tools and equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM where applicable)
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Identify non-conformances and report quality issues
Ensure all inspection records are accurately completed
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department
Requirements:
Previous experience in a quality inspection role within precision engineering or manufacturing
Strong understanding of CNC machined components
Proficiency with manual inspection tools and equipment, although formal qualifications are not needed
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
