Site Manager / Senior Site Manager – Industrial Roofing Project
Location: Chester
Start Date: Immediate

Our client, a well-established and highly respected roofing and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to oversee a significant industrial roofing project based in Chester. With works due to commence immediately, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven site professional to take ownership of a high-profile scheme and play a key role in its successful delivery.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record managing industrial and commercial roofing projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining programme targets, and acting as the main point of contact on site throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all site operations from commencement through to completion.
* Manage roofing subcontractors and site labour.
* Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
* Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and health & safety audits.
* Coordinate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
* Monitor progress and provide regular project updates.
* Maintain site documentation and compliance records.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on roofing projects.
* Extensive industrial roofing experience is essential.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site management procedures.
* SMSTS certification.
* CSCS Card.
* First Aid at Work certificate.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to start immediately.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering large-scale industrial or commercial roofing schemes.
* Temporary Works awareness.
* Scaffold inspection qualification.
