Are you an experienced Cleaning Manager or Area Cleaning Manager looking for a role where you can make a real impact across a manageable portfolio? Do you live in Kent and have experience overseeing multiple cleaning contracts? We are recruiting for an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 15 sites across Kent, with a particular focus on the Maidstone and Dartford areas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading teams, and driving service excellence.
Reporting directly to senior management, you will have full responsibility for service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance across a varied portfolio of contracts.

Your Role
Full responsibility for contract performance, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are consistently achieved
Building and maintaining strong client relationships across your portfolio
Managing cleaning teams and supervisors to ensure exceptional service delivery
Conducting regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections
Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining cleaning operatives
Managing labour budgets, rotas, and operational performance
Handling client queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
Supporting the mobilisation of new contracts as the business continues to grow
Working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
About You
Previous experience managing multiple cleaning contracts within a commercial environment
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent client relationship management experience
Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a geographically spread portfolio
Strong understanding of service delivery, KPIs, and operational performance
Full UK driving licence
Must live within Kent to effectively manage the portfolio
Passion for delivering high standards and developing successful teams
Location
Kent (Dartford, Sittingbourne and surrounding areas)
