Welder, £24.00 per hour, Dalkeith, Immediate Start, Temp to Perm
We are currently seeking an experienced Aluminium MIG Welder to join a busy workshop team on an initial 13-week contract, with the potential for extension or a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
* MIG welding aluminium plates and components used in pylons and substations
* Manufacturing and fabricating components for infrastructure replacement and upgrade projects
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Welding to specified tolerances and quality standards
* Carrying out all work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment
* Supporting quality control and ensuring completed work meets project specifications
* Successfully completing a weld test prior to starting work
Requirements
* Proven experience in aluminium MIG welding
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong understanding of welding tolerances and fabrication standards
* TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Candidates must provide their own welding mask and overalls for the weld test
