Welding Team Leader - Cookstown
Full-time opportunity
Pay: Up to £21.00 per hour depending on experience
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Welding Team Leader to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Cookstown.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong production, welding or fabrication experience who is ready to lead a team, support day-to-day operations and help drive safety, quality and performance on the shop floor.
The role will involve:
Supporting the welding team with daily production activities
Scheduling workload, materials and priorities to meet targets
Supporting the Production Supervisor with day-to-day operations
Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and on time
Maintaining high standards of quality within the production area
Liaising with other teams and departments
Supporting continuous improvement across the team
Applying high standards of 5S and lean manufacturing
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong production experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Previous welding, fabrication or steel processing experience
Good knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts or steel processing
Previous supervisory or team leader experience would be ideal
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Good IT skills
A positive, hands-on attitude
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Welding Team Leader, Fabrication Team Leader, Production Team Leader, Welding Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor or Senior Welder/Fabricator.
