Are you an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and well-established children's home?

We are recruiting for a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join a 3-bed EBD residential service in Ingol, Preston, supporting two young people aged 12 and 16 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

The Role

As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, mentoring colleagues, and helping young people achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

Essential Requirements

* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

* Minimum 6 months' experience as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

* Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex needs

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Comfortable driving an automatic vehicle

* PMVA / Safehold training desirable

* Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

* Leading shifts and supporting the management team

* Providing high-quality care and support to young people

* Supporting behaviour management plans and risk assessments

* Maintaining accurate records and reports

* Promoting positive outcomes and independence

* Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the forefront of practice

* Acting as a positive role model for both young people and staff

Shift Pattern

* 10:00am – 11:00pm

* Sleep-in

* 7:00am – 10:30am
