About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting resilient and passionate SEMH & SEND Teachers to work across specialist educational settings throughout Swindon.
We are supporting a number of specialist schools that require teachers for day-to-day supply, short-term placements and long-term teaching positions. These settings provide tailored education for pupils who require additional support to access learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Opportunities are available within schools, ALPs and PRUs supporting pupils with SEMH needs, ASC, communication difficulties, complex learning needs, emotionally based school avoidance and looked after children. Many settings use therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to support engagement, wellbeing and progress.
Whether you are an experienced specialist teacher or a mainstream practitioner/ECT seeking a new challenge, we have opportunities available to suit your experience!
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Connex Education
