Theatre Scrub Practitioner - Ophthalmology
The Cherwell Hospital – Banbury - Oxfordshire
We are seeking a registered practitioner with an interest in Ophthalmology to support our Ophthalmology suite at The Cherwell Hospital. You will part of an exciting new service and will gain experience from working alongside excellent clinicians. Ideally you will also have some Orthopaedic experience or a willingness to learn this speciality.
The Role:
Working as part of our Theatre team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care in Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics.
To train and work as a scrub practitioner for our Ophthalmology theatre suite. Be trained to perform specific Ophthalmic procedures including phaco cataract surgery and receive appropriate training & support to participate in Orthopaedic surgery.
Gain a full understanding of the patient pathway and engage with all aspects of the patient experience.
To maintain competence with regular theatre sessions as scrub practitioner.
Be a strong communicator and team player with exceptional standards for customer service standards. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.
What you’ll bring with you:
Registered with the NMC or HCPC
Previous experience within Theatre.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
A passion for delivering an excellent patient-focus service
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

Demonstrated computer skills.
