React Native Engineer

SR2 Consulting is working with a leading consultancy on a greenfield mobile build for a financial services client. This is a from-scratch build - no Legacy code, no technical debt to unpick, just a clean slate and the chance to shape the architecture and engineering standards from day one.

We are looking for a Contract React Native Engineer with genuine financial services experience - this is non-negotiable. The right candidate will understand the regulatory, security and data handling considerations that come with building mobile applications for FS clients, and will bring that awareness into every technical decision from the outset.

• Join a greenfield React Native build for a financial services client - shape the architecture, tooling and standards from the ground up
• Work as part of a consultancy delivery team, Embedded alongside their engineers on a live client programme
• No Legacy constraints - build mobile applications the right way, with modern tooling and best practice from day one
• Genuine influence over technical direction for a new product, not maintenance of an existing codebase

• Strong commercial experience with React Native, building and shipping production mobile applications
• Financial services experience is essential - you understand the regulatory, security and data sensitivity considerations that come with building for FS clients, and you do not need this explained to you
• Comfortable working on a greenfield build - confident making architectural decisions and setting standards for others to follow
• Strong fundamentals across mobile app architecture, state management, native module integration and performance optimisation
• Used to working within a consultancy delivery model - able to integrate quickly with an existing team and ways of working
• Comfortable operating in a regulated environment, with the discipline around code quality, testing and security that this requires

• A genuine greenfield build - rare to find a mobile engagement with no Legacy to work around
• Work alongside a leading consultancy on a live financial services programme
• Influence the technical foundations of a new product from day one
