SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant Duration: Initial 6-month contract (with potential extension)
Location: Fully remote
Eligibility: Candidates based within the European time zone (nearshore Europe preferred)

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant to support Finance Planning initiatives and the enhancement of existing SAC Planning solutions within a global environment.

The role requires strong SAC Planning expertise combined with solid Finance functional understanding, particularly the ability to interpret and maintain existing planning logic, including Legacy calculation scripts with limited or no documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning solutions in collaboration with Finance, IT, and Digital Finance teams
• Maintain and enhance existing SAC Planning models, including data structures, calculations, and business rules
• Work with SAC functionalities such as Data Actions, Multi-Actions, Advanced Formulas, Input Controls, Data Locking, and Security
• Translate Finance planning requirements into scalable SAC solutions (Budgeting, Forecasting, Workforce Planning)
• Analyse and interpret existing planning logic, including Legacy script-based calculations
• Support testing, deployment, and release activities
• Provide functional support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of planning solutions
• Participate in workshops and stakeholder discussions to refine requirements and identify improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud Planning
• Proven delivery of at least 2-3 end-to-end SAC Planning implementations
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Planning Models
  • Data Actions & Multi-Actions
  • Advanced Formulas
  • Data Locking
  • Security Configuration
  • Version Management
• Strong Finance domain knowledge (FP&A, Budgeting, Forecasting)
• Ability to analyse and maintain complex existing planning logic with limited documentation
• Experience working in global, cross-functional environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP BW/BW/4HANA, Datasphere, or S/4HANA integrations
• SAP Analytics Cloud certification
• Experience in Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or other complex global organisations
