About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Sawyer to join our team in a specialist manufacturing environment. Working as part of a two-person team, you will support the heat treatment of classified rotating shaft components and carry out material cutting and preparation activities.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, safety-focused industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

Safely handle a range of materials using overhead cranes and forklift trucks (FLTs)
Assist with furnace loading and unloading during heat treatment processes
Operate a variety of saws to cut materials including Datalloy blooms, ingots, and shaft components
Carry out Brinell hardness testing
Follow QA procedures to ensure product traceability and identification
Support general loading, unloading, and dispatch duties
Record progress using a computer-based production system
Maintain strict compliance with all health & safety standardsAbout You

Experience in a steel/manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment (preferred)
Strong focus on health, safety, and quality
Ability to follow procedures accurately and work methodically
Comfortable working as part of a small team
Good level of reliability, timekeeping, and attendancePlease note this role also includes a bonus of up to 15% whicjh you can earn up to another £6,105 on top of the salary
