Structural Engineer - Up to £60K - Remote (1-2 days in Bedford)
Our client is a growing structural engineering consultancy with ambitious plans for expansion and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the residential sector.
As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Structural Engineer with UK experience, who wants to play a key role in shaping the future of the company.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience gained within a structural design consultancy environment. The successful candidate will lead and manage a variety of residential projects, undertake structural inspections, prepare technical reports, and deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions for clients.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial enquiry through to completion, while helping to develop client relationships and support the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver structural engineering solutions for residential projects, including extensions, alterations, refurbishments, and new-build developments.
* Produce structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
* Undertake structural inspections and site visits.
* Assess existing structures and identify structural defects or remedial requirements.
* Compile clear, concise, and professional structural inspection reports.
* Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
* Manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines.
* Contribute to the development and growth of the consultancy through business development and client relationship management.
Requirements
Essential
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a structural engineering design consultancy.
* Proven experience delivering residential structural engineering projects.
* Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations
* Experience carrying out structural inspections and producing detailed structural reports.
* Proficient in Tekla Tedds software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong project management and organisational abilities.
* Full UK driving licence.
