Job Title: Maintenance Operative
Location: Chelsea, London
Pay Rate: £18 - £20 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time (4-6 weeks) potential to extend
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
Start date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the accommodation facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
General Maintenance: Responding to minor repair issues across the site and supporting with ad-hoc maintenance tasks.
Electrical & Plumbing: Assisting with routine electrical and plumbing maintenance and minor repairs.
Painting & Decorating: Carrying out internal painting and redecorating to maintain a high standard of presentation.
Appliance Installation: Supporting with the replacement of ovens, hobs, kitchen extractors, and toilets across 23 flats.
Garden & Outdoor Areas: Performing light gardening duties to keep outdoor spaces clean and presentable.
Refurbishment Works: Assisting with balcony refurbishments and other light refurb works as required.
Blockages: Helping with shower and drainage blockages as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, experienced, and confident in a varied maintenance role. The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience across general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, painting, and gardening duties
A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of upkeep
