Academics are currently supporting a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools throughout Doncaster who are seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis.
Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we would love to hear from you. These roles provide the opportunity to teach within your specialist area while also delivering general Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Position: Science Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a Science Teacher in Doncaster, you will deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons to secondary pupils across KS3 and KS4.
Although schools may look to utilise your subject expertise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this role also includes opportunities to teach general Science, making it ideal for adaptable teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility.
You will encourage pupils to develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, and confidence while creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science depending on school requirements
* Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities
* Assess and monitor pupil progress effectively
* Promote enthusiasm for Science through practical and theoretical learning
* Maintain strong classroom behaviour and engagement
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership teams
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all timesCandidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in a Science-related subject
* Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
* Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics welcomed
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
