Architectural Technician

Our client, a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking a motivated Architectural Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As an Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of a wide range of projects across various sectors. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants, you will be responsible for everything from initial site assessments to producing accurate technical drawings and ensuring strict compliance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Carrying out accurate measured surveys on-site to form the basis of project designs.

* Producing high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD.

* Preparing and submitting drawings for Planning and Building Regulations approval.

* Assisting with the development of detailed design packages.

* Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

* Ensuring all drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and relevant standards.

* Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion.

About You

* Degree in Architectural Technology or HNC in Construction (or equivalent).

* Minimum 1+ year experience in a related architectural or construction role.

* Proven experience conducting measured surveys on-site.

* Proficient in AutoCAD.

* Strong technical understanding of planning and building regulations.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* A full UK driving licence (and access to a vehicle) is required for site visits.
