MEP Coordinator – Hospital Project (Dublin)

Long-term Role | 3–4 Days On Site
We are currently seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator for a major hospital development in Dublin. This is a long-term opportunity with a leading main contractor delivering complex healthcare and infrastructure projects across Ireland and Europe.
This is a key site-based role, supporting the delivery, coordination, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems through to project completion.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving MEP systems through installation, commissioning, and handover, working closely with project management, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) services on a live hospital construction project
• Support commissioning planning, sequencing, and execution across all building systems
• Manage MEP coordination between subcontractors, design teams, and site management
• Track commissioning schedules and ensure systems are delivered in line with programme requirements
• Attend and contribute to coordination meetings, commissioning meetings, and progress reviews
• Review technical drawings, submittals, and commissioning documentation
• Support installation inspections, snagging, and system verification activities
• Ensure integration of MEP systems aligns with design intent and operational requirements
• Assist with handover documentation, testing, and validation processes
• Drive issue resolution across coordination, design, and site interface challenges
• Maintain clear reporting of progress, risks, and commissioning status
Requirements
• Experience in MEP coordination within construction or building services projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems installation and commissioning
• Previous experience on healthcare, hospital, or complex building projects preferred
• Ability to manage commissioning schedules and sequencing activities
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination tools and construction documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work in a structured site environment with multiple subcontractors
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance
• Experience working with main contractors or large M&E contractors advantageous
