Prospero Teaching is working with an excellent secondary school in St Albans that is looking to recruit either an ECT or experienced Business & Economics Teacher for a September 2026 start.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to join a thriving and supportive department within a well-respected secondary school. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students, and eager to contribute to the wider school community.

This position is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, helping students develop a strong understanding of Business and Economics in a positive and ambitious learning environment.

Business & Economics Teacher Information:

* You will be joining a successful and well-established Business & Economics department.
* The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Position: Teacher of Business & Economics

Contract Type: Permanent / Temp to Permanent
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Salary: MPS/UPS - Hertfordshire Pay Scale
Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm, plus parents' evenings and school commitments

Business & Economics Teacher Experience, Training and Qualifications:

* QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
* PGCE / SCITT / Teach First or equivalent route into teaching
* Degree in Business, Economics or a related subject
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging lessons
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
