Full-Time
Are you passionate about food quality, innovation, and making products that truly stand out? This is your chance to take ownership of product excellence in a fast-growing, purpose-driven food business.

We’re looking for a Food Technologist who can bridge the gap between creative product vision and commercial reality.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a central role in shaping and safeguarding our clients Dairy, Bakery and Proteins product range:

* Define excellence: Create and manage “gold standard” product and raw material specifications—covering taste, texture, appearance, and shelf life

* Own quality & compliance: Ensure all products meet UK food regulations (including allergen labelling and safety standards)

* Champion supplier quality: Approve, audit, and build strong relationships with suppliers and partners

* Drive continuous improvement: Use data and insights to reduce waste, improve shelf life, and elevate product quality

* Lead quality management: Oversee intake and production checks to ensure consistency with agreed benchmarks

* Support innovation: Collaborate with buying and marketing teams to develop sustainable, mission-led products

What you’ll bring

* Solid grounding in food production and safety (HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3 minimum)

* Experience with supplier auditing and UK food standards

* Strong sensory evaluation skills and an eye for detail

* Ability to run shelf-life and microbiological assessments

* A data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

How you work

* You solve problems quickly without compromising quality or safety

* You communicate clearly and confidently across teams

* You’re curious, creative, and always looking for better ways to do things

* You understand the balance between innovation, cost, and long-term viability

Vital experience and qualifications

* Experience in fresh or short shelf-life food categories

* Knowledge of dairy, protein, or bakery sectors

* A degree in Food Science, Technology, or Nutrition

* Project management experience

What’s in it for you

* £40,000 – £45,000 salary

* Opportunity to expand your remit across products and suppliers

* Exposure to new product development and innovation

* A collaborative environment where your ideas shape the future of food

Role details

* Full-time, permanent

* Flexible location (hybrid working)

* Start ASAP

If you’re ready to take ownership of quality, influence product direction, and make a real impact in a growing food business—this role is for you
