Join a School Where Every Small Step Matters

Masterclass Education is recruiting on behalf of several inclusive schools across Bristol seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional learning needs.

These rewarding positions involve working closely with children who require extra support to access education, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Every day presents new opportunities to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey.

Whether you're an experienced SEN professional or looking to build a career in education, psychology, therapy, or child development, this role offers valuable experience within supportive school environments.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same as an SEN Teaching Assistant. You may find yourself:

* Supporting a pupil with autism to engage successfully in classroom activities.

* Helping students develop communication, social, and emotional skills.

* Delivering targeted intervention sessions under the guidance of teaching staff.

* Using visual aids, sensory resources, and structured routines to support learning.

* Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements.

* Assisting pupils during lessons, breaktimes, and transitions throughout the school day.

* Helping create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

About the School

Our partner school caters for pupils aged 11–16 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, and moderate learning needs.

The school prides itself on its child-centred approach, recognising that every learner is unique. With small class sizes, specialist facilities, and a highly experienced staff team, the school creates an environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and motivated to succeed.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will typically have:

* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

* The ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.

* Experience in education, childcare, care work, support work, youth services, or similar fields (desirable but not essential).

* A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist educational environment.

Why Join Through Masterclass Education?

* Access to a wide range of SEN opportunities across Bristol.

* Long-term placements with the possibility of permanent contracts.

* Ongoing support from experienced education consultants.

* Opportunities to gain valuable SEND experience and specialist training.

* Competitive rates of pay and regular work opportunities.

Safeguarding

Masterclass Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and relevant safeguarding procedures.
