About the Role:
My client is seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Building Surveyor to join their team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is already 1 2months plus into their career in building surveying. You will work closely with experienced surveyors, gaining hands-on experience in inspections, surveys, reports, and client management across commercial, residential, and public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
·Assist in carrying out building inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis.
·Produce clear, concise, and professional reports, including schedules of condition and dilapidation reports.
·Support senior surveyors with technical due diligence, project monitoring, and contract administration.
·Assist in the preparation of specifications, tender documents, and cost assessments.
·Develop proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM/technical software where applicable.
·Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
·Maintain accurate records, plans, and survey documentation.
·Contribute to team meetings and assist in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to required standards.
Candidate Requirements:
·Degree in Building Surveying
·12 months + working in a Building Surveying role (Consultancy)
·Eligible for or working towards RICS membership (Graduate / Student member preferred).
·Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials, and building pathology.
·Competent in CAD/Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work to deadlines.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
·Willingness to learn, take on responsibility, and develop professional skills.
