Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Watford (WD25) from September. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their education.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Helping to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic developmentRequirements
Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, proactive and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staffDesirable
Experience within a primary school setting
Knowledge of autism, ADHD or other additional needsWhat We Offer
