Location: North East London – Field Based
Salary: £48,300 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

A leading engineering services organisation is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers) to join its growing field service team. Operating across a range of commercial and residential environments, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing automated access systems while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers) Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and diagnose/resolve faults efficiently
* Carry out installation, servicing, and planned maintenance of automated access systems
* Survey and inspect existing systems to ensure compliance and safe operation
* Accurately record job details, work carried out, and technical findings
* Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Maintain accurate timesheets and job records
* Participate in an on-call rota and overtime as required to meet operational needs
Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers) Skills & Experience Required
* ADSA or ADIA accreditation (essential)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working with automatic doors and gate systems
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
* Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload effectively
* Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
