Manufacturing Engineer (Machining)

Day Shift
We're recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer (Machining) to support production operations within a modern manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on CNC programming, proving-out, CMM programming, and driving continuous improvement across machining processes.
The Role:
Create and prove Fanuc CNC programs for machining manifold bodies and turned parts (on-machine and offline)
Support day-to-day machining operations across horizontal, vertical and turning centres
Program and utilise CMM equipment (training provided on relevant systems)
Create tool drawings and manage tooling stock levels (min/max), including purchasing and maintaining a tooling library
Maintain MRP data accuracy (e.g., BOMs and routings)
Drive continuous improvement activity using recognised CI principles and structured problem-solving (e.g., PFMEA inputs, process observation, CI suggestions)
Work closely with production teams, engineering, and maintenance to keep processes running effectively
What We're Looking For:
CNC programming experience on Fanuc-based controls
Proven ability to prove out programs on-machine and offline
2D AutoCAD capability
Experience with modern metal cutting tools and machining methodologies
Knowledge of inspection methods/processes, ideally including CMM
Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
Clear communication skills at all levels, with a positive, proactive approach
