Location: Finchley, N3
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £108.75–£110 per day

A warm, inclusive mainstream primary school in Finchley (N3) is seeking a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. There is potential for an earlier start for the right candidate. The school is well-resourced, supportive, and committed to providing the highest quality provision for children with additional needs.
What We’re Looking For
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* Minimum 1 year of experience working in education
* Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs preferred)
* A calm, patient and adaptable approach
* Strong initiative and excellent communication skills
Your Role
* Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with additional needs
* Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals
* Assist in creating a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional regulation and learning
* Adapt activities to suit individual learning styles and needs
* Work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils can access the curriculum
* Build trusting, supportive relationships with children, staff and families
* Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing across the school
