Automation Engineer (Rollers Shutters & Doors)

Location: Liverpool (Field-Based)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automation Engineer (Rollers Shutters & Doors) to join a growing and dynamic organisation operating across social housing and commercial sectors. This field-based role offers a varied workload including reactive repairs, planned maintenance, servicing, and installation of automated access systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of automatic doors, gates, and barriers while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Automation Engineer (Rollers Shutters & Doors) Key Responsibilities

* Attend reactive call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.

* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on automated systems.

* Install automatic doors, gates, and barriers to required standards.

* Conduct site surveys and system inspections.

* Complete accurate job reports and service documentation.

* Adhere to all health and safety procedures and industry regulations.

* Maintain up-to-date records, including timesheets and job information.

* Participate in an on-call rota and overtime opportunities when required.

Automation Engineer (Rollers Shutters & Doors) Skills & Experience Required

* ADSA or ADIA accreditation.

* Minimum of 3 years' experience working with automatic doors, gates, or related automation systems.

* Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

* Flexible and proactive approach to work.
