We're recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join a well-established manufacturing business in Portsmouth. If you're confident setting and operating CNC milling machines and enjoy producing precision components to tight tolerances, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a skilled and dedicated workshop team.

The role
As a CNC Miller Setter, you'll be responsible for setting and running CNC milling machines while ensuring components are produced efficiently and to specification.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines using Bridgeport/Heidenhain controls
Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Use precision measuring equipment to maintain tight tolerances
Work safely and effectively within a machine shop environment
Complete production and quality documentation
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop
Communicate effectively with colleagues across the production teamWhat they're looking for

Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter or in a similar CNC milling role
Strong CNC milling and machining background
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Good working knowledge of Heidenhain controls
Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamworkDesirable experience:

Experience with other CNC machinery, including lathes and EDM machinesWhat's on offer

36-hour working week
