Pharmacy Technician | Farnham | Private Hospital | Full Time | 37.5 | Permanent
Spire Clare Park Hospital are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full time permanent basis.
As a key member of the team, you will support the department in the provision of pharmacy services including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines.
Spire Clare Park Hospital is a modern elective hospital located in Farnham and is rated "Good" by the CQC. The hospital provides a broad range of surgical and diagnostic services, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology and ENT, supported by state‑of‑the‑art imaging facilities.
Duties and responsibilities:
To provide an exemplary specialist technical service to support the pharmacy department and other areas of the hospital that stock medicines, working within own level of competence and in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and Spire Healthcare policies and procedures.
Monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels
Assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
Participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes
Provide general administrative support to the department
Contribute to the safe and effective use of medicines, ensuring cost efficiency.Who we're looking for
Have an NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy service or equivalent is required
Excellent communication skills
Good team player
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Must have hospital experience. Unfortunately we cannot consider community-based pharmacy technicians Shifts - Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm with rotational Saturdays
