Make a Difference Every Day

At Evolve Childcare Limited, we are committed to creating safe, nurturing, and supportive environments where children can thrive. Based in a beautiful rural setting near Wellington, Somerset, we are part of the Fusion Group, delivering high-quality residential care for children and young people.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes and build brighter futures. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will provide day-to-day care, encouragement, and stability to children living within our residential homes.

About the Role

No two days are the same in residential childcare. You will support children and young people through both rewarding moments and challenges, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and positive life experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing a safe, caring, and nurturing home environment

Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people

Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging personal development

Acting as a positive role model and helping children overcome challenges

Supporting day-to-day household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home environment

Transporting children to appointments, education, and activities

Working collaboratively within a highly regulated and professional care setting

This is a rewarding role where patience, kindness, resilience, and understanding are essential.

About You

We are looking for caring, motivated individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people.

You may already have experience working with children or young people, although this is not essential — full training will be provided.

To be successful, you will need:

A caring, patient, and resilient approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A willingness to work as part of a team in a challenging but rewarding environment

A full UK driving licence (essential) — access to a company vehicle is provided during work

A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Workforce/Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential. If you do not already hold this qualification, Evolve will fully fund and support you to achieve it within your first two years in post.

Safeguarding Commitment

Evolve Childcare Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and pre-employment checks in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated fairly and with respect. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities and are dedicated to promoting equality of opportunity regardless of identity, background, or protected characteristics.

Interested in Joining Us?

If you are ready for a rewarding new challenge and want to be part of a team that truly changes lives, we would love to hear from you.
