Quality Inspector
A well-established manufacturer of high quality, specialist equipment, have a requirement for a skilled Quality Inspector, who will be a key member within the Quality Team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct Goods-In inspections, ensuring all incoming materials comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and required material certification in a timely and accurate manner.
Supporting non-conformance in goods in inspection and generating NCR documentation.
Perform routine patrol inspections across Production, Manufacturing, and Assembly areas to verify process conformance, product quality, and adherence to company standards.
Compile and generate complete certification packs for stainless-steel high-pressure filtration assemblies, ensuring all documentation meets internal standards and customer requirements.
Manage and maintain calibration activities for measurement equipment across all sites, including coordination of third-party inspection services, performing in‑house calibrations, and producing calibration reports and records.
Participation in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, process improvements).
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to audit readiness. Skills and Experience:
Previous experience of working within an inspection or production environment.
Ability to use standard metrology equipment in the correct application, including but not limited to: Callipers, Bore Micrometres, Height Gauge, Surface Plate, Pin gauges etc.
Experience with administration work and using Microsoft Office/PDF software.
Calibration Management experience.
Ability to read and comprehend Engineering drawings.
Excellent interpersonal skills.Desirable:
A working knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system.
Shadowgraph/CMM/Form tracer/Surface tester experience.
