Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Sparkford for an experienced Welder with TIG welding experience and experience working with stainless steel and/or aluminium.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering stable employment, regular overtime and the potential to secure a permanent position with a growing business.
Key Duties
Carry out MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
Perform fabrication and assembly work in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements and work instructions.
Complete internal work orders accurately using the company's ERP system.
Ensure production schedules and work-to lists are achieved.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
Safely handle materials and operate manual pallet trucks (training provided).
Support other production areas when required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team productivity.
Requirements
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding.
Fabrication experience with the ability to read and work from technical drawings.
Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of welding techniques and materials.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
