Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £50k - £55k p/annum plus benefits

We're working with a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of advanced materials and chemical manufacturing, seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead site performance and deliver operational excellence.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production. You'll lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop production, logistics, and operational teams
Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control
Ensure full compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
Implement and embed continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) methodologies
Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and delivery performance
Collaborate with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to support innovation and scale-up
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targetsAbout You
Degree qualified in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline
Proven experience in an operations / production management role within manufacturing or process-led environments
Strong leadership and team development skills
Experience in chemical, materials, or advanced manufacturing environments
Sound understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance
Track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational performance gainsWhat's in it for You
