Location: Dundalk, Co. Louth (Hybrid Working Available)

We are working with a growing technology solutions company that delivers complex infrastructure and technical projects across Ireland and Europe. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Buyer to join their procurement team and support the successful delivery of multiple high-value projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring critical materials and services are delivered on time and within budget.

The Role

As Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery through effective sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain coordination. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will help ensure materials, equipment, and services are procured efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Source and procure materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers.

* Obtain and evaluate quotations to ensure best value and commercial outcomes.

* Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier terms.

* Raise and manage purchase orders while monitoring delivery schedules.

* Support sourcing strategies that improve cost efficiency and supply continuity.

* Monitor supplier performance against quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

* Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, logistics, and delivery schedules.

* Assist with supplier onboarding and compliance requirements.

* Work closely with project, engineering, commercial, and operational teams.

* Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and milestones.

* Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.

* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

* Support the implementation of efficient purchasing practices.

* Track deliveries and coordinate material movements to project locations.

* Liaise with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

* Support inventory planning and stock management activities where required.

* Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

* Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and contractual obligations.

* Support quality, sustainability, and health & safety objectives.

* Prepare procurement reports and maintain audit-ready records.

About You

* Previous experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain role.

* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

* Experience working with ERP, MRP, or procurement systems.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software.

* Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
