Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hygiene supervisor seeking to step up to a Hygiene Manager's role to oversee and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing hygiene protocols, supervising cleaning staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and experience in managing hygiene standards within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
* Supervise cleaning staff, providing training and guidance to uphold cleanliness protocols.
* Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify areas requiring attention and ensure standards are maintained consistently.
* Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any issues related to hygiene-related equipment or facilities.
* Maintain accurate records of hygiene inspections, cleaning schedules, and compliance reports.
* Manage the procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective utilisation.
* Promote a culture of cleanliness and safety among staff through ongoing training programmes.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and construction-related equipment as necessary for maintenance or minor repairs related to hygiene infrastructure.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in managing hygiene or cleaning operations within a similar environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hygiene management.
* Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction skills for maintenance tasks.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with staff, suppliers, and management.
* Relevant qualifications in health & safety or facilities management are desirable but not essential. This position is integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant environment that supports the organisation’s operational excellence.
