Location: Enfield, North London
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

The Opportunity
An established ground investigation and geotechnical contractor is looking to recruit a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its growing team based in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering geologist looking to take on greater project responsibility while remaining involved in the technical and site delivery aspects of ground investigations.
The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial sectors throughout London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and delivering ground investigation projects from tender stage through to completion.
Supervising drilling rigs, trial pitting operations and site investigation works.
Logging soil and rock samples in accordance with current industry standards.
Preparing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
Undertaking geotechnical assessments and providing foundation recommendations.
Managing project programmes, budgets and resources.
Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and engineering geologists.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality procedures.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience within ground investigation, engineering geology or geotechnical contracting.
Strong knowledge of site investigation techniques and ground logging.
Experience producing factual and interpretative reports.
Excellent project management and client-facing skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Working towards or holding Chartered status would be advantageous.
